A healing technique in Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at certain points on the body to treat a wide range of conditions, including hair loss. Acupuncture particularly seems to help in treating Alopecia area (a hair loss condition resulting from the immune system attacking hair follicles), probably by increasing the blood flow and circulation and stimulating hair follicles. You will need several acupuncture treatment sessions for the best result. While the number of sessions may vary based on your condition, 10-20 sessions are usually recommended by the experts.
