Prof. Dr. Güneş Gür Aksoy, born in Ankara in 1972, completed his early education at TED Ankara College. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1996 and specialized in skin and venereal diseases at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital by 2000.

In 2006, Dr. Aksoy obtained the academic title of "Associate Professor of Dermatology" and later advanced to "Professor of Dermatology" in 2017. His academic pursuits included a period at the University of Vienna's Skin and Venereal Diseases Clinic in 2008, focusing on various dermatological areas.

Dr. Aksoy has been involved in teaching alopecia at the Turkish Dermatology Association, Winter School since 2010. He has also played a role in the Turkish Dermatology Association's Competency Board and the Education Programs Development Commission (EPGK), contributing to the standardization of assistant training in Turkey.

From 2016 to 2018, Dr. Aksoy held the position of President of the Turkish Dermatology Association. He also served on the Post-Dermatology Specialization Training Board (DUSEK) and worked as a training assistant at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital and Ankara City Hospital Bilkent.

Internationally, Dr. Aksoy is a representative for the European Union of Medical Specialists and is affiliated with various scientific organizations, including the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and the European Nail Society.

His academic work includes a thesis titled "Effects of PUVA treatment on skin flora" (1999) and supervision of several theses in dermatology.
