Doctors' Response

Is it typical for Dysport to spread after injection?

I had my first Dysport injections five days ago, targeting my crow's feet, forehead, and 11s. I'm satisfied with the results around my 11s and crow's feet, but there are areas on my forehead that appear untreated. You can refer to the attached photo. Is it possible that Dysport will continue to spread to these untreated areas since it's only been five days since the injection?

I am Sarah, a medical assistant at Aesthetic Skin MD with Dr. Anil Shah in Chicago! It is normal for neurotoxin to take up to a few weeks to settle in, so it is normal that you still see areas that might not appear treated. If you still aren't seeing the desired results after a few more weeks, then I would consider revisiting your provider or visit our website to book an appointment with us at the link below.

We usually recommend waiting a full two weeks prior to touch up of neuromodulators. This allows for full onset of action. It is recommended you discuss with your treating provider.
