Overview
Perineoplasty is a procedure to repair damaged or torn perineum, the area between the vagina and the anus, usually done to tighten the vaginal opening in women who have had a perineal tear because of childbearing. Perineoplasty can also help with increasing sexual satisfaction, boosting self-esteem, and treating some related conditions such as vaginismus, dyspareunia, vaginal stenosis, genital warts, recurrent vaginal infection, and pain during penetration.
