Dr. Selahattin Tulunay

Dr. Selahattin Tulunay, an experienced practitioner in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, began his educational journey at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine during the academic year 1974-1975. By 1981, he graduated with a Medical Doctor degree.

Shortly after, in 1982, Dr. Tulunay joined the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine as an assistant. He received his specialization in this area in November 1987. The following year, he fulfilled his military service at Ankara GATA.

Upon completing his military service at the Ankara GATA Burn Center, which provided him with further experience, Dr. Tulunay moved on to serve as a chief assistant in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic at Şişli Etfal Hospital in late 1988.

Dr. Tulunay expanded his practice over the following years, working in various private hospitals and serving as a Chief Physician in one such institution for seven years. His skills were recognized by the Bahat Health Group in February 2006, which appointed him as a Plastic Surgery Consultant and later as the Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for four of its hospitals.

In June 2011, Dr. Tulunay became a part of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of the Universal Hospital Group's (UHG) Çamlıca Universal Hospital. He has also operated his own plastic surgery clinic since 2012.

Apart from practicing, Dr. Selahattin Tulunay, an English speaker, has been involved with numerous domestic and international publications. He also keeps himself updated with the latest advancements in his field by attending relevant congresses and following a variety of publications from around the world.

Among his professional competencies is the field of hair transplantation. Here, he employs techniques like manual and micromotor extraction, along with lateral slit transplantation.

Tracing Dr. Tulunay's career path, he served as an assistant at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine's Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1982, and completed his military service at Ankara GATA. His experience continued to grow at Şişli Etfal Hospital's Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic, where he worked as a chief assistant. Seven years as a Chief Physician in a private hospital and his role at Bahat Health Group further solidified his professional standing.
