Dr. Salih Emre Uregen

Dr. Salih Emre Uregen is a well-known plastic surgeon based in Istanbul, Turkey. He was born in Ankara in 1978 and entered Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine to study medicine. After taking an M.D. degree, Dr. Emre Uregen pursued his studies in cardiovascular surgery but his dream of becoming a plastic surgeon caused him to abandon his studies in cardiovascular surgery and take up a residency program in aesthetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery at Ankara Yıldırım B. Training and Research Hospital. During his residency, Dr. Emre Uregen performed more than 2000 surgeries. He completed his thesis with a focus on the repair of nasal defects and received his residency certificate in 2010. 

Dr. Emre Uregen finished his 2-year mandatory public service in 2012 at Düzce Atatürk State Hospital. He opened his private clinic in Istanbul in 2013 and has been working there since then. He has written numerous scientific papers and educational textbooks and produced educational videos for plastic surgery students. 

Holding patients’ opinions and concerns in high regard, Dr. Salih Emre Uregen spends a lot of time talking to his patients in his pre-operative consultations. He believes that the more informed a patient is before the surgery, the happier they will be after the surgery. 

Dr. Emre Uregen is highly skillful in closed rhinoplasty and he does most of his rhinoplasty surgeries with this scarless method. He has performed thousands of nose job operations with the closed technique. He is also renowned for his expertise in revision rhinoplasty.
