About Doctor Murat Turegun

Prof. Dr. Murat Turegun was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1983, and from an early age, he displayed an interest in medicine and surgical procedures. His educational journey led him to attend TED Karabuk College from 1969 to 1979, and subsequently Istanbul University's Faculty of Medicine from 1979 to 1983.

He further specialized his studies at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Gulhane Military Medical Academy from 1988 to 1993.

Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Turegun has held various positions. In 1999, he achieved the title of Associate Professor, and in 2005, he was appointed as a Professor at Gulhane Military Medical Academy. In pursuit of further development, doctor Turegun spent a year at the Cleveland Clinic Department of Plastic Surgery from 1997 to 1998.

In 2001, Turegun began serving patients in Ankara, where he continued until 2009. From that point, he has been serving patients in Istanbul. 

Beyond his practice, Turegun has actively contributed to the medical field. His publication record includes authoring 81 national and international articles and contributing to 146 papers. Dr Murat Turegun has also participated in 44 conferences and panels, sharing his knowledge with fellow professionals.
