Dr. Murat Tezcan

Born in Balıkesir in 1968, Dr. Murat Tezcan embarked on his medical journey at Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1985, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1991. This foundational period set the stage for a career dedicated to advancing in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Tezcan's postgraduate training commenced the same year at Uludağ University's Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, marking the beginning of a deep dive into his specialty.

The pursuit of expertise took Dr. Tezcan beyond national borders. In 1993, with support from a Norwegian Government scholarship, he engaged in burn studies at Bergen University's Haukeland Hospital. This international exposure was further enriched by a stint in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, where Dr. Tezcan expanded his plastic surgery knowledge through observations and studies within the Mednet Hospitals Group.

His commitment to specialized training continued upon his return to Turkey, where in 1996, Dr. Tezcan honed his skills in craniofacial surgery at Ege University Faculty of Medicine's Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The following year, he concluded his tenure at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine and joined Bursa Vatan Hospital's Aesthetics, Plastic Surgery, and Hand Surgery Clinic, further broadening his clinical experience.

Dr. Tezcan's educational journey extended into 1998 when he traveled to Paris, France, to receive training in mesotherapy, adding another layer to his multifaceted expertise in aesthetic and reconstructive treatments.

Throughout his career, Dr. Murat Tezcan has contributed to both the domestic and international medical communities through numerous publications. Beyond his professional endeavors, he is known for his proficiency in English and Italian, his marriage, and his personal interests that include historical research and writing short stories.
