Dr. Murat Emiroglu

Born in Ankara on June 15, 1961, Dr. Murat Emiroglu embarked on his educational pursuit in the fields of medicine and surgery early on. Completing his primary education in 1972 at Ankara Vefik Pasa Primary School, he then proceeded to finish both middle and high school at Ankara Anatolian High School in 1979. The very same year marked his entry into Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. As part of his medical training, Dr. Emiroglu also spent a segment of his studies at the Surgery Department of the University of Ferrara in Italy, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ippolito Donnini.

Upon graduating in 1985, Dr. Emiroglu dedicated a year of service at Agri State Hospital, fulfilling a requirement set by the “Compulsory Service Act”.

In 1986, Dr. Emiroglu's growing expertise was recognized when he was appointed as a Staff Research Associate at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Further expanding his skills, he traveled to Japan in 1992. Here, he enriched his knowledge on congenital anomalies, craniofacial surgery, and microsurgery, collaborating with Prof. Dr. Takuya Onizuka at Showa University School of Medicine, Tokyo, and other esteemed professionals in the field.

After returning to Turkey, having been inducted into the “International Onizuka Society” in May 1993, Dr. Emiroglu presented his thesis on the application of Streptokinase in microvascular procedures.
