Dr. Muhammed Fatih Evcimik

Born in 1978 in Konya, Dr. Muhammed Fatih Evcimik began his medical education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) in 1996, completing his studies in 2002. Following this, Dr. Evcimik served at Bursa Orhangazi State Hospital in 2003. By 2004, he commenced his advanced training in otolaryngology at Istanbul Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital, concluding it in 2009.

In his pursuit of further expertise, Dr. Evcimik expanded his horizons internationally. In 2005, he collaborated at Heine-Heinrich University's Otolaryngology Clinic in Dusseldorf, Germany. Here, he had the opportunity to collaborate alongside Prof. Dr. Henning August Bier. The subsequent year saw him at Rush University in Chicago, USA, as a Research Fellow in the otolaryngology department, where he worked closely with Prof. Dr. Michael Friedman. 

Dr. Evcimik's commitment to his profession is evident through his participation in numerous scientific conventions in both Türkiye and the USA. Upon completing his advanced training, he served at Malatya Beydağı State Hospital from 2009 to 2010. Furthermore, he undertook specialized programs in head and neck surgery, thyroid surgery, and otology-neurotology, facilitated by the NET society. This two-year intensive included hands-on training using cadavers.

From 2010 to 2014, Dr. Evcimik associated with Private Nisa Hospital. His dedication to academia was recognized in 2014 when he took on a role as Assistant Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Istanbul Medipol University School of Medicine. His consistent contributions to the medical community were rewarded with an Associate Professorship degree in Otolaryngology in 2017. By 2022, Istanbul Medipol University further acknowledged his efforts, conferring upon him the title of Professor.

Notably, Dr. Evcimik introduced balloon sinuplasty techniques in sinus surgery and palatal implants for snoring and sleep apnea treatments in Türkiye during 2006 and 2007.

His quest for knowledge continued in 2015 when he pursued a course in robotic surgery in Marburg, Germany. Besides his hands-on work, Dr. Evcimik has contributed to the academic world with multiple articles in national and international scientific journals. Today, Dr. Muhammed Fatih Evcimik continues his work at Istanbul Medipol University Mega Hospital, providing expert care in his specialized field.
