Prof. Dr. Metin Önerci, a graduate of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, specialized in Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) at the same university. He was appointed as an associate professor in 1990 and later became a professor in 1997. His academic path included scholarships from TÜBİTAK Scientist Training Group and the Goethe Institute in Germany.

In his career, Prof. Dr. Önerci has held various roles in medical associations.
