Merdan Celik completed his medical studies at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in 1997. Following his graduation, he took on roles in various public and private clinics.

Between 2003 and 2005, Celik collaborated with the United Nations Organization for Migration in the United States. This collaboration marked his introduction to hair transplantation and restoration techniques.
