Dr. Hakan Yuzer

Dr. Hakan Yüzer, an ophthalmologist based in Turkey, was born in 1971 in the Turhal district of Tokat province. He completed his medical studies at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1994, subsequently ranking in the top hundred in the TUS (Medical Specialization Examination). Dr. Yuzer specialized in ophthalmology at the Ministry of Health Ankara Training and Research Hospital. Throughout his career, Dr. Yuzer has focused on oculoplastic surgery, cataract, glaucoma, and eye transplantation. His training was supplemented by guidance from experienced medical professionals including Dr. Sunay Duman and Dr. Bekir Sıtkı Arslan. He has also worked alongside other well-regarded physicians in the field. In 2004, Dr. Yuzer established İnci Eye Hospital in Turkey, and in 2011, he founded the European Eye Hospital in Macedonia. These institutions are noted for providing a range of eye-related medical services. His work at these hospitals includes various surgical procedures and the introduction of specific surgical techniques. A consistent participant in the ophthalmological community, Dr. Yuzer has been a member of the European Cataract and Refractive Surgery Council since 2001. His research, particularly in areas such as corneal keratoconus and excimer laser, has been acknowledged on national and international platforms.
