Dr. Erhan Safak

Dr. Erhan Şafak, born in 1959, embarked on his medical journey at Istanbul Kadıköy Maarif College, later graduating from Istanbul University's Faculty of Medicine in 1983. His career path took him from an initial stint at the Diabetes Hospital in Paris to completing his medical degree, followed by a series of specialized trainings that shaped his professional trajectory. Dr. Şafak's post-graduate training began in 1986 at Uludağ University, focusing on Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a field where he would leave a significant mark.

His expertise was further honed in the United States at the Ralph K. Davies Medical Center in San Francisco, where he engaged in microsurgery alongside Harry J. Buncke. This period was instrumental in acquiring a Hand Surgery and Microsurgery training certificate, solidifying his skills in a specialized area of medicine.

Upon returning to Turkey, Dr. Şafak continued to develop his career, culminating in his specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by 1991. His academic contributions were acknowledged with an assistant professorship at Uludağ University, where he was integral in the development and leadership of the Hand Surgery Department.

In 1996, Dr. Şafak transitioned from academia to establish the Department of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Hand Surgery, and Microsurgery at Private Bursa Vatan Hospital, performing over 2000 surgeries within a span of five years. This move was followed by the creation of ESTEM Aesthetic Beauty and Laser Center in 1998, marking the beginning of his private practice.

Throughout his career, Dr. Şafak has been active in both national and international medical communities, participating in various congresses and contributing to the scientific literature in his field. His professional journey is characterized by a continuous pursuit of knowledge, as evidenced by his involvement in numerous educational symposiums and conferences related to Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Hand Surgery, and Microsurgery.
