Dr. Erdem Guven

Dr. Erdem Guven, a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, completed his medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1998, after graduating from Istanbul Kabataş High School in 1992. He gained additional experience in 1998 with a six-month observership at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

In 1999, Dr. Guven began his specialization in plastic reconstructive aesthetic surgery at Istanbul University. His research during this period led him to present at the 25th Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association Congress in 2003, where he introduced an alternative approach to facial transplant surgery. He completed his specialization in 2004.

Dr. Guven continued to expand his knowledge and skills, attending a course in "endoscopic forehead and mid-face rejuvenation" in San Diego, USA, in 2005. He then served as a specialist in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul Medical Faculty from 2006. He was promoted to associate professor in this department in 2011.

Participating actively in scientific congresses both nationally and internationally, Dr. Guven was a speaker at the Barcelona Breast Meeting in Spain in 2013. There, he presented on the "endoscopic breast repair technique" for post-breast cancer surgery.

As a member of several professional associations, including the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association, Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association, Turkish Reconstructive Microsurgery Association, and ISAPS, International Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association, Dr. Guven is involved in the broader medical community. His work encompasses breast repairs, correction of breast deformities, body contouring surgeries, microsurgical repair surgeries, maxillofacial surgery, and plastic surgery. Dr. Guven is married and has two children.
