Dr. Ege Ozgentas

DR. Ege Ozgentas, a noted figure in the sphere of plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery, was born in 1951 in Turkey, where he continues to reside. Ozgentas started his medical journey at Hacettepe University Medical School in Ankara, earning his degree in 1975.

Post-graduation, he pursued specialization in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the same university, attaining board certification as a plastic surgeon in 1981. His experience spans across various healthcare settings, including military burn hospitals, state and private facilities.

His professional journey took him to Baylor College of Medicine's Division of Plastic Surgery in Houston, USA, where he worked as a research associate from 1991 to 1993, collaborating closely with esteemed professionals such as Melvin Spira and Saleh Shaneq.

In 1993, Ozgentas made a significant mark in Turkey's medical education sector by establishing the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department at Akdeniz University Medical School. He led this department until 2006. His academic contributions were acknowledged with an Associate Professor degree in 1985 and a Full Professor degree in 1996.

Following his retirement from Akdeniz University, he continues his professional practice at the ONEP Aesthetic Surgery Clinic in Istanbul. 

Throughout his illustrious career, Ozgentas has held various significant roles such as Specialist Medical Reserve Officer in the Ankara GATA Burn Center, Master Assistant at the Social Insurance Institution Ankara Training Hospital Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic, and Assistant Chief in the Istanbul Şişli Etfal Hospital Plastic Surgery Clinic.
