About Doctor Derya Ozcelik

Having begun her formal education at Hacettepe University's English Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Derya Ozcelik graduated in 1993. She then underwent specialized training in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul's Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital from 1993 to 2000.

By 2001, Dr. Ozcelik played a foundational role in establishing the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Abant İzzet Baysal University's Düzce Faculty of Medicine. There, she was responsible for mentoring the next generation of plastic surgery specialists over a span of 12 years. Recognized for her contributions and expertise, she was conferred with the titles of Associate Professor in 2005 and Professor by 2010.

Between the years of 2014 and 2018, Dr. Ozcelik affiliated herself with Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine's Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Currently, since 2019, she operates out of her private clinic located in Nişantaşı, Istanbul.

Not one to limit her learning to domestic shores, Dr. Ozcelik ventured to Cleveland, Ohio, USA in 2007. Here, she observed surgeries concerning rhinoplasty and migraine, conducted by Prof Dr. Bahman Guyuron at the Case Western University Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic. A few years later, in 2013, she spent three months at Harvard University's Plastic Surgery Clinic, specifically within the Department of Craniofacial Surgery. During this time, she collaborated with Prof Dr. Michael Yaremchuk, focusing on Craniofacial Surgery and Aesthetic Facial Surgery.

Apart from her medical pursuits, Dr. Ozcelik is proficient in English and has an artistic side, evident in her oil paintings since her younger days. Her dedication to sports is highlighted by her 15-year basketball stint, during which she played professionally for Şekerspor for four years.
