Dr. Bulent Cihantimur

Dr. Bulent Cihantimur is a noted plastic and reconstructive surgeon and the founder of Estetik International clinic based in Istanbul, Turkey. He is the winner of numerous awards in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including the “Golden Bistoury” award.

Dr. Cihantimur was born in 1970 in Kars, northeastern Turkey. He graduated from Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine degree and later went to Uludag University to pursue his studies in aesthetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery.

Since 1999, Dr. Bulent Cihantimur has performed thousands of cosmetic procedures and has gained a wealth of experience during these long years. This helped Dr. Cihantimur to come up with a number of innovations in his specialty. Some of the innovative techniques devised by Dr. Cihantimur are:

Dr. Bulent Cihantimur received the “Golden Bistoury (Scalpel)” award at the World’s Plastic Surgery Conference in 2014 in Monaco for his pioneering Genital Beautification technique. This prestigious award was handed out to only 7 surgeons in the world, including Dr. Cihantimur and Professor Yves Gérard Illouz a surgical trailblazer, the father of modern-day liposuction, and a co-founder of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).

The Physician of the Year award was presented to Dr. Bulent Cihantimur in 2014 for his novel facial rejuvenation Spider Web Aesthetics technique. He won the Turkey International Friendship and Peace Oscar for his successes in the field of health. He was the only surgeon from Turkey to have been invited to the 13th Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress in 2015 as an honorary guest, in which he shared his Incisionless Otoplasty technique with over 6000 professionals.

Dr. Cihantimur is the winner of other awards such as the Tatweej Academy’s Excellence Award, Fashion TV’s Best Plastic Surgeon Award, and Outstanding Contribution for the Development of Plastic Surgery Award at the Azerbaijan Art of Beauty Awards Congress. He is also a philanthropic person. He collaborates with the Smile for Hope Nigeria Project, which has been implemented to help children in need of food, shelter, clothing, and especially medical care. 

Dr. Bulent Cihantimur has a TV show called “Bu Ben Miyim?” (Is this me?) on TLC TV. He authored a book titled Yaşlanmayı Reddet (Reject Aging) in which he provides tips on how to take care of your beauty and seek help from plastic surgery when you need it.

One of the most interesting things about Dr. Bulent Cihantimur is that he only accepts 30% of his cases to operate on them, something that can hardly be found with other surgeons. That’s because he is an honest and accountable surgeon to his patients and never goes ahead with a surgery that would be risky for their health. He puts the safety of patients above everything else, including money and fame, and this has made him a decent surgeon in Turkey. He believes that 70% of people who refer to him for cosmetic surgery can’t achieve what they’re looking for with the surgery, so he’s straightforward with them and kindly rejects their request.
