Doctors' Response
What should I do now with my pain and protrusion following the manual realignment of my broken nose?
I had a mishap that resulted in a broken nose. It was notably askew when we made our way to the medical practitioner. Faced with the options of either having it manually adjusted by the doctor or opting for surgery, I chose the former, primarily due to my apprehension towards surgical procedures.
The doctor swiftly realigned it using his hand and then affixed a securing tape to maintain its position. I was instructed to let it stay put like that for an entire week. Over this period, I observed swelling and discoloration around my eyes. When we returned for a follow-up, the tape was removed, with the doctor reassuring me that everything was in order.
However, I've noticed an irregularity, a sort of bump, in one corner of my nose accompanied by a small bruise akin to a mosquito bite. Four months have passed since the incident, and there is a significant discomfort that brings me to tears whenever my nose is hit accidentally. I feel as though the healing process hasn't completed. I would appreciate some guidance regarding my next steps.
