Doctors' Response

Can I fix or conceal an indent on the left side of my nose?

I'm not sure what caused this indent, I used to have a nose piercing on this side for a few years - could that be why? I'm also curious about ways to make it less obvious, like maybe using fillers or going for rhinoplasty. My nose's right side has a similar but less noticeable indent, which looks natural. But on the left side, it's more like a circle. Some lighting makes it stand out more, and when I squeeze it, it's less flexible than the other side.

Hello, thank you for shared photos and question, nonsurgical treatments can help to fix asymmetry and give more balanced look. However they make the nose bigger as volume added inside and they are temporary solutions.Benefiting from Rhinoplasty Closed & Atraumatic technique, you will have permanent, natural and much more symmetrical nose without a scar on your columella and maximal healing.

Fillers can be used in the nose to improve issues such as asymmetries and indentations. You may likely benefit from fillers injections to your nose for your problems as well. I recommend seeing a board certified facial plastic surgeon in person and discussing your options after a physical examination.Hope this helps.

How can I determine the specific shape of my nose? I’m curious to know what category or type my nose falls into, based on its structure and appearance. Could you provide guidance on identifying my nose shape by looking at its features, such as the bridge, tip, and overall symmetry?

Could I get a closed rhinoplasty, or would it be better to go for nose fillers to improve the look of my nose?
