Panniculectomy

Panniculectomy is a procedure similar to a tummy tuck that removes loose skin and fat hanging over the pubic area (pannus), often done for people who have undergone massive weight loss or developed such a condition after childbearing. The results are considered to be permanent and you can expect to enjoy a flat and smooth lower abdomen as long as you maintain a healthy weight. Patients undergoing a panniculectomy usually lose 2-3 pants sizes depending on how much excess skin they have. Scars are inevitable in this procedure and although they fade away to a great extent, they won’t disappear completely.
